To keep up with their younger counterparts at the office more and more male boomers go through plastic surgery. Breast-reduction liposuction lip augmentation would be increasing by 20% a year. Once considered a woman's domain cosmetic surgery is increasingly attracting men keen on remaining competitive in the workplace improving their love lives or getting rid of physical hangups. With procedures for droopy eyelids bulging love handles and over-sized breasts more men are trying to enhance their looks and stack the odds in their favour.
Philip Haeck 53 a plastic surgeon in Washington state says he's seen a 19 per cent increase in male clients during the past five years. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons the number of cosmetic procedures on men grew by 16 per cent between 2000 and 2005 with breast reduction tummy tuck lip augmentation eyelid surgery and liposuction among the most popular.
Has Hilton Damaged Her Eyelids
Hotel heiress PARIS HILTON reportedly visited a plastic surgeon in Los Angeles earlier this week (begs15JAN07) in a bid to fix her 'drooping' left eyelid. The 25-year-old was allegedly left with muscle damage in her left eye after a botched eyelid lift operation six years ago (01), and the damage has reportedly been worsened by her fondness for wearing blue-tinted contact lenses over her naturally brown eyes. A source tells PageSix.com, "(Her eyes) have been drying out lately. She is ignoring doctors' orders to not wear her tinted contacts." However, Hilton's representative ELLIOT MINTZ denies the rumours, insisting, "To the best of my knowledge, Paris has never had any kind of cosmetic surgery and has not mentioned any medical procedures having to do with her eyes."

Changes ahead for Albany Public Library system
Tuesday was an important day for the future of the Albany Public Library system. Albany residents cast their votes to decide whether the library system needs the facelift that officials say it does. "The buildings are old, the infrastructure is crumbling," said Albany Public Library Director Jeffrey Cannell. Cannell said the library's age is only part of the problem. He wants to make the library more accessible to teens and students. And Cannell said some of Albany's libraries lag behind in technology. "We figure that less than half the people in Albany have a computer at home, and this is the one place they can get free Internet access," he said. The plans include renovations to the existing Pine Hills, Delaware and Howe branches, and two new branches. One will be located in Arbor Hill at First Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard, and the second is planned for a lot on New Scotland Avenue.
